Verne asui lapsuudessaan pienessä talossa metsän keskellä vanhempiensa kanssa. Hänen isänsä oli erikoistunut kesyttämään metsäpeuroja. Verne sai kerran lahjaksi isältään varsan, jonka Verne sitten nimesi Tyrniksi. Vernen ja Tyrnin suhteesta kehkeytyi luja ja he ymmärtävät toisiaan melkein täysin.
Eräänä päivänä, kun Verne oli kalassa, hän huomasi että hänen kotinsa suunnasta nousi savua. Hän riensi sinne äkkiä katsomaan mistä oli kyse ja huomasi, että hänen kotinsa roihusi, kuten metsä sen ympärillä. Tyrni nosti kauhistuneen Vernen selkäänsä ja vei hänet pois sieltä.

Personality and other info: Verne is calm and a nice marten, but in the same time he seems like someone who is holding secrets. He loves to travel all over the world riding his pony Tyrni. Verne has seen alot of this world and so he decided to settle down for a while to a place called "Kaukotulvala", where Törhö and his friends live at.
Verne sells herbs, which he collected by himself from his journeys. There are rumours out there, which say that he also sells illegal plants. Verne smokes alot, and what he smokes you can't call tobacco.
When Verne was a child he lived in the middle of a forest with his family. His father was specialized in taming forest reindeers. Verne once got a foal as a gift from father, whom Verne names as Tyrni. Verne's and Tyrni's bong grew stronger over time, and they understood one and other almost completely.
One day when Verne was out fishing, he noticed smoke coming from the direction where his home was. He hurried home to see whats it about, and soon became aware of the fact that his home and the forest around it was in flames. Tyrni lifted horrified Verne to her back and took him to safety.
